Celebrate Education

This September, Two Rivers Rotary Club joins Rotary International in recognizing Basic Education and Literacy Month, a time to highlight the critical role education plays in creating thriving communities.

Around the world, Rotary clubs are working to support schools, improve literacy rates, and ensure that every student has access to the resources they need to succeed.

Here in Two Rivers, we are proud of the steps we've taken to contribute to these efforts. A standout example is the Peace Pole project at Two Rivers High School. In partnership with the school, our Rotary club built and installed a Peace Pole on school grounds. This symbol of harmony and global unity stands as a reminder to students, educators, and community members alike that peace and education go hand in hand.

The Peace Pole is not just a beautiful monument — it is a representation of our commitment to fostering a positive, peaceful environment where students can learn and grow. We believe that education is not only about academic achievements but also about shaping compassionate, engaged citizens who will contribute to a more peaceful world.

At Two Rivers Rotary, we are constantly looking for ways to support our local schools, provide educational opportunities, and improve literacy within the community. Whether through book donations, mentoring programs, or projects like the Peace Pole, we strive to make a lasting impact.
