Rotary is a service organization that values and encourages the use of all occupations to serve communities. Vocational service is at the heart of Rotary, both in its history and its future.

This January, Rotary is challenging all members to put their vocational service into action by using their skills and expertise to serve their communities, mentoring young people to achieve their career goals, offering leadership and professional development guidance to others, and practicing their professions with integrity and inspiring others to do so.

There are many ways to do this, including joining a Rotary Action Group or Fellowship, sharing your expertise through your district resource network, mentoring young professionals, volunteering on a service project using your vocational skills, or joining TRF's Cadre of Technical Advisors. For more guidance on practicing vocational service in your Rotary, personal, and professional life, you can review The Vocational Service in Action handbook.
